This course is designed as an aid to those wishing to obtain a greater understanding of central heating control systems, specifically the installation practice and fault diagnosis for S and Y plan systems.
Aims of Course
The principle function of system components on a heating system
Understanding and utilising manufacturer's heating system wiring guides
Practical wiring application for a 2 port valve (S plan) system
Practical wiring application for a 3 port valve (Y plan) system
Commissioning the system including basic electrical safety checks
Diagnosing and rectifying system faults

Experienced heating engineers, installers, maintenance engineers and electricians who require a more detailed understanding of system wiring and controls.
Suggested prior knowledge or understanding
Candidates must have attended Basic Electrical Appreciation and have a basic knowledge of heating and hot water systems.
